I read once that at its core, the purpose of software is to help people. To help do things that make some aspect of life easier. Sysmex America

Lead UX Developer • November 2012 - Present

Sysmex America is a subsidiary of a corporation based in Kobe, Japan. They offer the most advanced hematology analyzers available. I designed and developed the UI/UX for a new generation of mobile-focused apps. The first project that I worked on, My Sysmex is one of only a handful of products that Sysmex America has ever created. It's been the catalyst for a shift in thinking across the entire organization.

envisionit media

Senior Developer • June 2011 - November 2012

envisionit media is an interactive agency that drives action for its clients through strategic integrations. In my role as Senior Developer, I had the opportunity to expand my skill set to include native mobile development. I developed specialized tools for one of their largest clients at the time, MagicFuture to increase usability and functionality. I also developed and released the company’s first mobile application and oversaw all native and hybrid mobile development.

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network

Senior Flash Developer • July 2010 - June 2011

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network is a 24/7 cable network devoted to self-discovery, to connecting you to your best self and to the world. Following the founding of the network, the oprah.com team was transitioned to OWN. I worked there during the network launch and created several major initiatives. I created the O Dream Board, complete with integrated Walgreens print-to-store functionality.

Harpo Productions

Senior Flash Developer • June 2010 - January 2005

I was originally hired as a Junior Designer and throughout my six years with Harpo, we created some truly pioneering web experiences. I was the developer of all Flex/Flash components and features for oprah.com. I worked on truly groundbreaking initiativies like the Oprah Book Club's Summer of Faulker, a weekly webcast with professor led discussions on some three of Faulkner's classics. Oprah's Child Predator Watch List is definitely what I'm most proud of. It led to the capture of many fugitives.
